Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of MealLoop (the "Service"), operated by Kyle Welch ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

MealLoop is an online meal-planning tool that generates weekly meal plans, recipes and grocery lists. Paid plans are digital subscriptions that unlock additional features. No physical goods are sold or shipped.

2. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old (and the age of majority in your jurisdiction to purchase a subscription). We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Subscription terms

• Auto-renewal. Paid plans (Starter, Plus, Family) renew automatically each month or year, depending on the billing period you choose, until you cancel. Your payment method is charged at the start of each renewal period.
• Free trial. Paid plans include a 7-day free trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, it converts automatically into a paid subscription and you will be charged the plan price.
• Prices. All prices are in US dollars (USD) and exclude any applicable taxes. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email; changes apply from your next renewal after the notice period.
• Cancellation. You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep access to paid features until then. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
• Payments. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. By subscribing you also agree to Stripe's terms. We do not store your full card details.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to access other users' data, reverse-engineering, scraping, interfering with the Service's operation, reselling access, or using it for any unlawful purpose.

5. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, recipes and content, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your own household's non-commercial use. Food photographs may be provided by third parties under their own licences.

6. Estimates disclaimer

Meal costs, grocery totals, calorie and nutrition values, and savings figures (including any "save $150–250/mo" statements) are estimates only. Actual prices, nutrition and savings vary by store, location, brand, portion size and personal habits. We make no guarantee of any specific savings or outcome.

7. Allergy and health disclaimer

Recipes, dietary modes, allergy filters and nutrition information are provided for informational purposes only and are not medical, nutritional or dietary advice. Ingredient and allergen information may be incomplete or inaccurate, and products vary by manufacturer. You must verify every ingredient and product label yourself, particularly if you or anyone you cook for has a food allergy, intolerance or medical condition. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before making dietary changes. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for allergic reactions, illness or any other health outcome arising from use of the Service.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you by email or in the app before they take effect. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
