This policy explains how MealLoop, operated by Kyle Welch, handles your personal information.
What we collect
- Account information: your email address, display name and password (stored hashed by our authentication provider).
- Preferences: your onboarding quiz answers (household size, goals, diet, allergies, budget, cooking time, dislikes), meal plans, pantry items, favourites, grocery-list checks and household profiles.
- Usage data: basic technical and usage information such as pages visited, device and browser type, and error logs.
- Payment information: payments are handled by Stripe. We receive your subscription status, plan and a Stripe customer ID. We never see or store your card number.
How we use it
- To provide and personalise the Service (generating your plans and grocery lists).
- To manage your account and subscription and send service emails (e.g. confirmations, billing notices).
- To keep the Service secure, fix problems and improve features.
Sharing
We share data only with providers who help us run the Service: Stripe (payments), our hosting, database and authentication providers, and analytics providers. They may process data only on our instructions. We never sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law.
Cookies
We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and the app working, and analytics cookies to understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies in your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may stop the app from working.
Data retention
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your profile and app data promptly. Payment records held by Stripe are retained as required for tax and accounting purposes.
Your rights
You can access and correct your information in Settings, and delete your account at any time via Settings → Delete my account. You can also email kylewelch08@icloud.com to request access, correction or deletion, and we will respond within 30 days.
Children
MealLoop is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy and will notify you of material changes by email or in the app.
